PET Work week commencing 3rd April

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Weeding the herb bed and rose bed at the Community Garden
  • Completed the pruning work on Bellpit Road
  • Planted Cornus, Hydrangeas and Hellions in the shrub bed on the Community Gaden
  • Brambles trimmed at the top of Churchward Drive and Teawell Close
  • Shrub bed at the Community Garden barked and shaped

Fly Tipping and littering continues to be an issue in the Parish and the Team completed the following:

  • litter picked from Wrekin Trundle, including a large amount of cans left around the bench
  • fly tip removed from Arleston Lane
  • fly tip of car wheels reported to TWC on Cedar Close
  • fly tip of furniture removed from Rock Road
  • 2 bags of household waste removed from Cemetery Road
  • 5 bags of litter picked from the footpath and embankments on Cemetery Road
  • A TV and smashed glass removed from Arleston Lane

PET Work Week Commencing 27th March

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • Strimming at the top of Rock Road
  • Brambles pruned from footpath and verge at Cedar Close
  • Large areas of cornus pruned around Acer Close and the length of Bellpit Road
  • Bird boxes put up at the Community Garden and Old Park
  • A broken fence repaired at St Saviours
  • Pruning and strimming around Old Park Pool

There has unfortunately also been a significant increase in littering and fly tipping around the Parish. The team completed the following:

  • litter picked from the Community Garden
  • Fly tip removed from Station Road
  • Fly tip removed from Arleston Lane
  • Litter picked from Cedar Close
  • Litter picked from Old Park Pond area
  • Litter picked around St Heliers
  • Large fly tip of furniture on Dawley Road reported to TWC

PET Work week commencing 20th March

Work was completed in the following areas:

  • the car park at Hill Fold was scraped clear of mud and weeds
  • deep vehicle ruts were filled with hardcore and soil on the grass area by Dawley Bank shop
  • the large laurel hedge at Old Park Pool was pruned back from the footpath
  • the area around Old Park Pool and the steps were litter picked
  • the hedge at Glendale Circle was pruned back and grass strimmed on the verge

PET Work Week Commencing 13th March

There was a significant amount of work completed on the gardens next to Tom Morgan Close:

  • the large shrub bed was rotovated, raked and weeded
  • the overgrown raised beds were cleared of grass and weeds and the timber was repaired
  • the path and areas around the raised beds were cleared of weeds and barked
  • the area behind the raised beds was cleared of debris and weeds
